Disappointing Low-Quality Pressing

The sound level on this record is quite low, and it has a bit of a flat sound, missing those vibrant highs. I usually don't like things too loud, but I have to turn it up to get a decent listening level. The higher volume also makes the flaws of this United pressing more noticeable. Most of the songs cover it up, but there's some crackling between tracks, and it's audible on one or two of the softer ones. It's not the absolute worst, but it's nowhere near the quality of an Optimal or Pallas pressing, if one existed. It's a bit disappointing because this LP is out of print, and you pay a bit more to get it now. It's worth the original price, but not the current market prices. Still, it's something for a Joe Jackson fan to enjoy. I like the album.
