Can we just point out how hideous the spine design is on this box set? Bizarre chunky fonts, random colored lines = it looks so tacky. What were they thinking? Apart from that: mastered by Chris Bellman, pressed at Pallas = it's a total no-brainer, absolute steal. Also, I've got a copy of the Alternative Fox (unofficial) pressing, this one sounds a bit more vibrant though the Alternative Fox is still a decent pressing.
In my opinion, it's missing a clear spectrum of sound. It comes across as overly squashed and the low end is seriously lacking. Plus, there's a persistent background buzz on my copy, not sure if that's normal or not but it's way too much to ignore... Just comparing it to a FLAC version on my HD 650's... :/ I'd hold onto my cash and wait for an official re-release.
Among my top picks for LPs, I can't get enough of this one (though I might be overdoing it). We stumbled upon it while browsing through a buddy's sister's record stash.

Some folks might get all worked up, but let's face it, most of us have pretty standard sound systems, so audio opinions are kinda personal. I'm all in on quad, rocking ESL 57s, and the sound is always top-notch, even with low-quality tapes. Nothing beats that 70s British sound, in my book. Spend your money wiselyโฆThis box set is fantastic, the record sounds amazing, detailed, quiet, and warm, just like my setup ๐คฃ. I'm sure the original is superior but they usually areโฆ
