Pharoah Sanders at his finest, in my opinion! I've always struggled a bit with the piercing highs of the legendary Sanders, my ears just couldn't handle the extreme notes... But I keep practicing, like it's my musical responsibility. I'll get there! This album is absolutely amazing in every aspect, and the pressing is superb. My absolute favorite! RIP Pharoah
Freedom's a must-have for Spiritual Jazz lovers. I wanna play this while I'm on my Journey To The One.
Great dynamic range, and the piano sounds particularly vibrant. Maybe mastered from the original tapes? The jacket printing is good as well.
Picked it up online just before catching Pharoah's show at the Jazz Bakery in Santa Monica on 10-12-19. He autographed my copy backstage! It's my all-time favorite album of his! Doctor Pitt is the bomb! This is a solid pressing.
