Product description

Released on 27 October 1977, 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' is the seminal debut album from the iconic British punk rock band, Sex Pistols. This groundbreaking record is a quintessential representation of the punk and proto-punk genres, boasting a rebellious and unapologetic spirit that defined a generation.

With a duration of just 38 minutes, the album packs a punch, featuring 12 tracks that are as provocative as they are catchy. From the opening notes of 'Holidays In The Sun' to the closing refrain of 'EMI', the Sex Pistols deliver a blistering critique of modern society, tackling themes of disillusionment, rebellion, and social commentary.

Standout tracks like 'Anarchy In The UK', 'God Save The Queen', and 'Pretty Vacant' showcase the band's ability to craft infectious, high-energy songs that are both rebellious and thought-provoking. The album's raw, unbridled energy and anti-establishment ethos have made it a timeless classic, continuing to inspire and influence new generations of music fans.

Reissued by UMC (Universal Music Catalogue), 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols' remains a landmark album in the history of punk rock, a testament to the Sex Pistols' innovative spirit and their enduring legacy as one of the most influential bands of all time.

This 2025 Limited Edition Reissue LP is pressed on Clear vinyl.

  • Sound Quality, Affordable Price

The sound quality of this version is fantastic. There's barely any hissing noise, and you can snag it at a discounted price through different stores.

  • Rebellious but Flawed US Pressing

    3 out of 5 stars
    pusdrqueDecember 20, 2025United States🇺🇸

Boisterous. Powerful. Unapologetic. Though not an audiophile gem, this burst of raw energy feels like pure rebellion. Yet, this US initial pressing suffers from a murky low end and a midrange that's lacking in clarity. The guitars feel lifeless due to a tamed high end. Now, I'm on the hunt for a UK first pressing! • 1977 Los Angeles Edition Review

    5 out of 5 stars
    JofzaQezahDecember 19, 2025United States🇺🇸

Curious about the audio quality? I've got the newest version of this album. It's a digital record, but it doesn't sound terrible. In fact, it sounds rather decent. The one I've got now is the 1977 Los Angeles edition. Comparing the two, this one's a bit muddy, but the tunes are more captivating. It's like there's a grit to the guitars- which is awesome! But the clarity just ain't the same. This 1977 Los Angeles edition doesn't come with the sleeve that has the sticker for Submission, even though Submission is listed. So, it probably came out later in '77. They say the UK edition is the best first pressing, so I might hunt one down. But this one, despite the lack of clarity, takes me right back to '77 and is a great example of the raw vibe the Sex Pistols were going for.

  • UK Version Impressive

Way more impressive than that low-quality US version. Does this one compare to the UK release?

  • NAD Clear Vinyl Disappoints

    3 out of 5 stars
    maxxoqv004October 20, 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

LET'S COMPARE: 2016 UK yellow vinyl (B2B repress) VS 2025 NAD Clear edition Let me start by sharing some personal thoughts. This album, on vinyl, will always have a bit of a muffled sound. So, the best pressing, in my opinion, is the one that's the least muffled. I got rid of my early UK pressing ages ago as it was worn out. Then, I enjoyed the fantastic 3CD boxset in the hardback union case during my digital phase and thought it was brilliant. I never completely stopped listening to vinyl, though. When the vinyl revival picked up, I bought the 2014 Back to Black copy and was happily surprised by how good it sounded, but I was shocked by how poorly made the two Czech Republic presses I tried were, so I rejected them. I waited a while and then decided to try the yellow 2016 edition, a repress of the black B2B... MUCH better... quiet vinyl and an amazing sound. I've always wondered if it could be topped, though, and I've tried a few (if not all) reissues since. First off, those two Rhino SYEOR neon colored copies were a letdown. The Rhino High Fidelity by KPG seemed like it would be perfect when it came out a few months ago.... far from it, the tape he used was flat and dull and lacked B*****ks (or maybe he just left the EQ alone and played it too safe, I dunno!). So.... this NAD clear vinyl copy comes along and I'm hoping it will match or beat the old yellow copy, which I don't really want to wear out! Well.... sadly, I think it's the worst of the bunch to be honest. Playing both copies on my test decks (AT LP5X with similar hours runtime VM95E carts into a dual input all tube Opera Ref 40 phono stage) shows a big difference. The NAD is cut low. Two or three db lower than the B2B. Leveling it up doesn't make it less dull. Or less soft in the bass. And Johnny sounds almost apologetic. There's no life again. It reminds me of the two Rhino neon copies and is also a lot like the Rhino Hifi, but on noisier vinyl. The yellow B2B by comparison has LIFE and attitude.... you can feel the anger in Rottens lyrics, you get the bass and drums punch back and the shredding has its heat restored. Disappointed. Like the Rhino HF, I really wanted this to be the best, so I could sell the yellow copy and move on with this one. Alas, it will be listed for sale in a few moments and I shall wait again... after all the 50th anniversary is fast approaching!!! Just give us a bold sounding double 45rpm cut that's turned up to 11 and packaged with love and then take my money!!!
