Incredible sound quality and super intense, if you ask me. I don’t own any other Sex Pistols records to compare it with, but I'm totally satisfied.
Alright, yeah, the title might be silly, anonymous, and a bit baffling for some, and it might seem even more so down the line when the Pistol TV show fades from memory, and yeah, there's an editing blunder at the beginning of "C'mon Everybody", BUT, from this fan's perspective, it's a solid intro to the Pistols and a thrilling listen. It appears everything's sourced from the latest remasters, except perhaps "No Fun", which fades out just like on "The Filth and The Fury". Some folks seem to think the title implies it's a comprehensive retrospective, 'cause I've seen reviews mentioning "it's missing 3 songs!". TBC
The audio quality is excellent, but there's a lot of surface noise on 'My Way' :( The issue persists even after an ultrasonic cleaning.
I was expecting the vinyl to be a bright neon green, but it turned out to be more of that classic Landrover shade, no big deal though, let's talk about the sound! Just like with my other Sex Pistols records, the louder you crank it, the better it gets. So don’t stress if it sounds like crap at low volume, just keep turning it up until your neighbors start banging on the walls and suddenly, the audio will kick in with all its punk rock awesomeness.
I was kinda expecting Belsen to be a gas, but I guess it was more of a Sid thing..
