This album is a spotless pressing that sounds absolutely fantastic on vinyl! The packaging is top-notch, it genuinely feels like stepping into the Kiss Land world when you hold and open this record. It's clear that a ton of effort went into this release, and I'd love to see more artists and labels put in the same amount of care. Only a small issue though: while the outer box looks and feels amazing, it's not very practical and could get damaged easily.
This vinyl record is simply amazing. The discs feel solid and well-crafted, perfectly level and balanced, with surfaces that are incredibly quiet. The audio is robust yet refined, featuring rich bass, crisp vocals, and a velvety, enveloping high end. This album is frequently overshadowed in The Weeknd’s catalog, but on vinyl and with a pressing this superb, it truly shines as a dark, unified, and atmospheric tour de force. A genuine joy to listen to beginning to end. Highly endorse this pressing of an underappreciated album. Equipment used: Rega P5 turntable, Audio-Technica AT-VM750SH stylus, Denon DRA-900H amp, Davis Acoustics Hera 250 speakers.
My version has a couple of crackles and some hiss, but I'm still a huge fan of the album. Funny thing, though, my second disc's got a typo! Side B of Disc Two's marked as Side B of Disc One.
This record's sound is incredible and noise-free. Super fresh. Grab it.
Abel's put out a strong album here, with a bridge that's just as good as BBTM's.
