Legendary album, but I'd steer clear of this particular pressing. My copy has a bunch of crackles and hiss right out of the package, and it's not my gear causing the issue. It's a budget-friendly and easy-to-find version of a must-have album, though, so it's tough to gripe too much.
Interestingly, the record I purchased here in France sounds great, even excellent for a recent pressing. I suppose I got fortunate with this one.
Great overall. It's not like their usual work but still really enjoyable.
Unfortunately, I ended up with this copy today. It was disgustingly dirty straight out of the packaging, and even after several wet cleanings, the surface noise is unbearable. The mix is terrible, and the drums are barely there, just like others have pointed out. Since this is my first copy of the EP, I can't compare it to others, so I'll need to dig deeper before trying to find a different pressing. Stay away from this one! The quality is not acceptable for a brand new record at all.
Picked up my version from Walmart a couple days back for $21. I gotta admit, apart from a few skips, this is a fantastic pressing. It's a solid and loud record (though not so loud that it seems squashed), and the vocals really stand out in the track. All in all, I'd call it a great pressing of an amazing EP.
