Toughest and gloomiest AiC record. Layne's at his peak and Jerry's riffs are absolutely deadly.
Alright, I gave this another spin to really give it a good listen before I sold it, since the reissue is coming out in January 2026. Honestly, it doesnโt bother me at all! It sounds so great that I think Iโll just hold onto it and pass on the reissue. The sound is balanced, mostly mellow and the dynamics are pretty darn impressive.

I've owned a few different original US pressings of this record, and I gotta say, I'm not on the same page as some other folks. That yellow bootleg that's been going around lately? It sounds way better to me, and it's only 50 bucks! It's an incredibly well-done bootleg, and it's got more punch than this pressing. I did a comparison not too long ago, and I know some people might think I'm nuts, but on my hifi system, that's my final say.
I'm right there with everyone else, can't think of anything that tops this. And honestly, who cares if it's "unofficial" or not, this record absolutely crushes it!๐
