In my opinion, Legacy don't churn out poorly sounding records – it's that straightforward. This one's spot on, with a flat vinyl surface, a hefty 180g thickness, and it's got that depth, volume, and clarity, plus it's super quiet in the low-end. It's a fantastic pressing, probably from a digital source, but it's 90s grunge so no shocks there, and it's well worth the cash.
Incredible for collectors, super hard to find. If you spot one...snag it!
Should you feel the need to own this on vinyl and have a spare $25, then look no further. It must be said, it doesn't quite leap out at you as you might hope, definitely not like my car used to with the original cassette! ;-) We've got a pretty decent mid-range sound system here, and this is certainly not as dynamic or loud as the original Badmotorfinger that was playing while I waited for this to arrive. The cover art...YIKES!?!?! It's a very clean pressing, not a single pop or click to be heard. Given that Columbia/Legacy have the resources and funds to do this album justice and there's definitely a market for it, this is a real missed chance, but by no means a total waste.
