I'm torn about this new release. I appreciate the fresh mix of the album, as it lets John's voice shine through more clearly, with less reverb. The packaging is top-notch, except for the inner paper sleeves not being vinyl-lined, which makes it easy for the disks to get scratched when you take them out. Plus, the records aren't completely silent. Both sides of the first disk have a bit of noise and occasional pops, while the outtakes record is quite engaging and much quieter. All in all, I'm glad I bought it, but for the price I paid (37 euro plus shipping), I wonder if it's really that hard to make the perfect quiet vinyl us music fans deserve.

Finding these in Oz was a breeze. I was genuinely shocked at how amazing it sounds, feels like it's straight from the UK. It's got a real vibrancy and punch. Absolute steal!
This vinyl is insanely quiet, at least mine is. While listening to "Jealous Guy," I picked up on a guitar I'd never noticed before. The bass on this recording is ridiculously crisp and clear, it's like I'm hearing the studio version, that's how amazing it sounds. I doubt I need to search for another pressing of this album, this one is absolutely flawless.
