Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I'm on the same page as thefleshexp’s review down there. This is one of the top-notch plain pressings I've come across, and it's definitely worth every penny. If, and that's a huge if, another pressing comes out, this one right here is a fantastic stand-in.
I can't see why this is considered the worst of Plain's records. My copy sounds pretty darn good, honestly. I've come across way worse Plain pressings, just look at Mr. Bungle for instance. Sure, it's definitely a digital transfer, but it's pretty crisp and clear overall. The sound quality is great. The main issue is the noticeable sibilance in the vocals on the last two tracks of each side. That's a bit irritating. It definitely needs a better reissue, but as the only vinyl pressing of this fantastic album, it could have been a lot worse.
