I'm currently playing my copy, and it seems like I've got a faulty one, just like @Mit_ mentioned. There's a noticeable "ksh" sound that gets louder towards the end of Side A and is almost instantly noticeable on Side B. I'm thinking about reaching out to Rhino to report a quality issue.
Wow, I was really on edge after all the talk, thought this was just another RSD knockoff, not saying the price was low, but expected another poor quality pressing. Happy to report mine sounds alright, shame for those who didn't get so lucky, I've been in that spot before. Currently spinning RSD Percy, Kinks are there but there's a bunch of crackles and pops too. RSD's always a gamble!
Mine works great, no issues at all. Super quiet with zero pops or clicks.
Wow, how amazing does this record sound!? While I lean towards Two Against Nature from the 2000s Dan reunion for the memorable tracks, this one's growing on me, especially now that I've got it on vinyl. Is it a concept album about the end of the world? It very well could be. Or perhaps it's just that sharp NYC irreverence at its best. If you can, grab this version!
It's just what it is, a record that sounds really good, but the Recordstore Edition 2021 is way more dynamic, even if it's just a single disc and not a double one. This is quite shocking.
