I concur, this pressing sounds amazing. My copy has the same runout as mentioned for side A, however, the B side has a W2 instead of W1 marking.
Fantastic audio quality (as expected, it's Bernie) - and it's a treat to find that this version outshines the originals. Plus, you get a gorgeous gatefold for a really fair price. My copy was spotless too!
This album is absolutely flawless. The quiet pressing sounds absolutely fantastic. It features two of my all-time favorite Steely Dan songs, "Do it Again" and "Reelin‘ in the Deep.
I'm revisiting my earlier thoughts, and I must say, this new version is an improvement over the originals I owned. It's fantastic, and I've been eagerly awaiting this remaster. Some tracks, especially "Dirty Work" and "Midnite Cruiser," have never sounded this good. My copy arrived on vinyl that was a bit too quiet, but it didn't skip at all during playback. I'd definitely recommend it, though I'm still puzzled why there aren't proper remasters for "Dallas" and "Sail The Waterway," two singles from the same era. Who knows what happened to the tapes for those songs, especially after the 2008 fire... P.S. It's been mentioned before, but "Reelin In The Years" has a noticeably longer fade in this remaster, with some extra guitar parts thrown in, a nice touch for this update.
This album is absolutely flawless. The sound quality is stunningly clear and peaceful, making it an absolute delight to listen to. It features two of my all-time favorite Steely Dan songs, "Do it Again" and "Reelin‘ in the Deep.
