Bad pressing quality. Heavy bass distortion on both sides.
This album is absolutely fantastic, with an excellent progression from one song to the next. It's one of those records I could listen to on loop; it's engaging yet intricately imaginative. The instrumentation is well-done, and the mix and production are top-notch. My European version sounds fantastic, so the pressing quality is great.
The packaging is really nice and the album is great but this version is quite disappointing. It's very quiet and has a lot of hissing. The bass is way too loud and covers up all the other sounds.
This isn't quite my cup of tea. The mastering seems off to me, though I suppose some folks might dig the bass-heavy vibe. I'm all about those crisp details, so I'll be passing this one along. No hard feelings, though—the pressing is solid with no pops or crackles. Just not sticking around in my collection.
Definitely not the greatest. KOL ought to look for another spot in EU to press their vinyls. The tracks are awesome but dude, this pressing is filthy even after a solid clean. What a bummer.
