This amazing album is made to sound quite ordinary with this terribly poor pressing. It's way too compressed and there's a fair amount of surface noise. If I hadn't been so eager to grab this, I'd probably have been better off with the 2xLP version as this album definately sounds terrible squashed onto one LP.
Ohhhh my goodness, this is incredible! One of my all-time favorite albums, and this version is just phenomenal. So much energy. Absolutely adore it.
Still pretty crackly even after cleaning it a couple of times. The sound's alright, with the bass being the most prominent. Guitars can get a bit buried, like in Charmer for example.
Following what others said, I gave this record a good wipe down before listening and it's playing just great. It's a tad softer than I thought it'd be but no hissing or skips like some folks mentioned. Just gotta turn it up a notch or two more than I normally do.
This is easily one of the poorest pressings I have in my collection. It's filled with annoying pops, clicks, and terrible surface noise. I really need to find a better version soon since this is my all-time favorite KOL album.
