Hip Q . He handpicked the coolest cats around to join his musical vibe, specially Ray Brown's groovy bass line really seals this fantastic album .One of those feel-good records that always makes you wanna play it again and again .A true cult classic from the late 60's !
The sound quality of this Promo press is fantastic. The unique blend of funk and fusion, coupled with some amazing horn sections, makes this session absolutely incredible. Everyone's performance is top-notch. It's a true classic!
This '83 reissue as part of the A&M Audio Master Plus Series sounds fantastic. The surfaces are very quiet and the audio quality is excellent, even surpassing the original US versions which could be quite noisy at times.
I'm on the same page as the other reviewer. This album is fantastic. It's right up there with those brilliantly arranged soul-funk-jazz LPs like David Axelrod's Song of Innocence. It's the only Quincy Jones record I consider a must-own, and you really should have at least one Quincy. Plus, it's affordably priced.
This record sounds fantastic and won't break the bank.
