Wow, this pressing sounds phenomenal -- quite a shock, considering it's from GZ (they've got some serious QC problems, so results can be hit or miss). The copy I got was super shiny, perfectly flat, spotless, pressed right in the middle, no hissing or anything, with bass that's deep and rich, and treble that sparkles. It even beats the 24/96kHz digital lossless version I've heard. Grab one if you can find a copy!
The sound quality of this pressing is absolutely amazing. The mastering and quality control during production are top-notch. It offers a great soundstage and has a solid presence overall.
Shadowy, Groovy and soulful. Voodoo is that kind of album that holds up to countless spins and keeps on dishing out new discoveries. More underground than his first release, Voodoo strikes a perfect chord between musician's cleverness and streetwise cool. As the name implies, there's a sinister edge running through this album's beats, but the happiness and warmth keep it in check. A few tracks, like 'Chicken Grease', are mostly just funky jams, but the vocals and instrumentals are impeccable all the way through. Definitely worth a listen.
I misplaced my CD a long time ago, but I've kept the cd’s cover in really good condition. If anyone's looking for a cover, feel free to reach out to me.
I'm absolutely blown away by the sound quality - it gives me chills every time, what a delight
