Couldn't be more flawless, sound is crisp, zero clicks, no hiss. Fun fact, '10 Lovers' on LP runs a minute longer than on CD!!! =D!!
Incredible... this is a totally unique departure from the usual Black Keys sound! It's a trip into psychedelic rock, drawing heavy inspiration from Pink Floyd. The recording quality is superb. It's also flat, well-balanced, and has minimal surface noise. The soundstage has impressive depth. Depending on the cartridge you choose, you can unlock TONS of dynamics from this record... not to mention the abundance of micro details. It's not just some low-fi track that blasts at full volume throughout. Because of this, it deserves to be played with a high-quality cartridge! Highly recommended. The audio quality on this record is truly impressive. Contrary to what others have said, there's no hiss on A1 - it's completely quiet. The stereo imaging is wide and the mix is well done, although I'd prefer a slight boost in the highs to make it sound "perfect" in my system. But that's a minor point. I'd love if all albums were pressed this good. Also, it's worth mentioning that the vinyl doesn't feel as light as a 140 gram, nor as heavy as a 180 - it's somewhere in between. All in all, I'd rate it a 9 out of 10, especially since it was only $15 with free shipping from Amazon.
This album is a perfect example of 2010's indie/alternative music, blending psych, pop, and blues elements seamlessly. The opening track is incredibly impactful, and the sound quality on this version is fantastic. You can truly appreciate Danger Mouse's production work throughout, which elevates the entire album.
This is my favorite Black Keys album. On my copy, there's some audible surface noise at the start of each song on both sides, but it fades as the track goes on. The production is incredibly rich and dynamic. You can really hear every instrument clearly.
