Product Description

Two Door Cinema Club's debut studio album, Tourist History, is a vibrant and energetic introduction to the Northern Irish indie rock band. Released on March 1, 2010, under the label Kitsune, this album captures the essence of early 2010s indie rock with its catchy melodies and dynamic rhythms. Spanning just 32 minutes, the album is a quick yet impactful journey through 10 tracks that blend infectious hooks with raw, youthful energy.

From the opening track "Cigarettes in the Theatre" to the closing notes of "You Are Not Stubborn," Two Door Cinema Club delivers a sound that is both fresh and nostalgic, drawing influences from the indie rock scene while carving out their unique identity. Standout tracks like "Something Good Can Work" and "This Is the Life" showcase the band's knack for crafting anthems that are as memorable as they are danceable. The album's brevity is part of its charm, making it a tight, focused listen that doesn't overstay its welcome.

Tourist History is a testament to Two Door Cinema Club's ability to create music that resonates with a wide audience, blending the raw energy of indie rock with the accessibility of pop. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to their music, this album offers a compelling introduction to the band's distinctive sound and style.

This is a 2025 Reissue 15th Anniversary released as a LP.

  • Indie Gem Re-released

    4 out of 5 stars
    LiymasaSesyaig30 December 2025United States🇺🇸

Among my absolute top picks from my college days in the indie pop/rock scene :-) Thrilled to see this one re-released since the originals and those 10-year anniversary editions were fetching crazy prices. The 15th anniversary pressing is on some nice thick vinyl and it's pressed nice and flat, no warping when you take it out. Sound quality-wise, it's a bit bass-heavy and maybe could've used a touch more clarity. But overall, I'm really stoked with how it sounds!

  • Vibrant Second Album Shines

    5 out of 5 stars
    Fsuf-Vuf28 December 2025United States🇺🇸

This edition truly stands out with the 2nd album, it's vibrant and full of energy. The first album feels a tad dull in comparison. Both discs are a bit on the quiet side, I had to boost the gain by 4dB to reach my normal listening level. They didn't score super high on the Waxwing, averaging a B+, but I was feeling lazy and only did a quick wipe with the disc brush instead of a proper wet clean. If you're into TDCC, this release is definitely worth picking up for that second album.

  • Incredible Record Release

    5 out of 5 stars
    Olayzavco8223 December 2025United States🇺🇸

It took forever to receive my copy from Rough Trade NYC, but holy cow, this release is incredible. I've never experienced the record sounding this phenomenal before! Would definitely suggest giving it a listen.

  • Mixed Up Vinyl

    5 out of 5 stars
    sbugp38 December 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

Well, I've got a bit of a mix-up here... I've got the regular black vinyl, but my side B is actually side D from the gold pressing. It kicks off with "Kids" and has all the remixes. I wonder how many copies out there are like this. It's one of my favorite albums, so I'm stoked to finally have it on vinyl... even if it's only half of it, really.

  • Digging the Gold Tunes

I'm really diggin' the tunes, nothin' to gripe about here. Dig the gold, flat discs!
