Authentic Blends!! This album sounds amazing. It's got everything I'm looking for in this genre.
This album sounds absolutely gorgeous, and now I understand why Impex picked this one for their audiophile re-release.
The album is smooth and peaceful. The audio quality is fantastic! Great soundstage too. Two thumbs up for this version.
Oh, the expansive, deep 3D soundstage is simply breathtaking! The highs are crisp, clear, and shimmer like you wouldn't believe, never once sounding harsh. The piano on the left side of the soundstage is so lifelike, it'll knock your socks off. Over on the right, the drums and percussion will sweep you away with their rhythm, timing, and groove—just wait till you hear "Far More Drums" on side two! The double bass, horns, and all the other instruments are perfectly placed in the middle and center, just as they should be. Deciding between this and "Time Out" is tough; they're both on the same level in every way. My copy is a flawless 180g slab of vinyl, noise-free and warp-free, proving that this weight is indeed worth the press! Highly recommended, five stars—thanks for reading. While not my top pick from Brubeck's discography, this album is still a commendable release. Much like the majority of Brubeck's work I've listened to, the audio quality here is truly impressive. Specifically, the percussion tracks are incredibly lifelike, rivaling the best I've experienced on my setup (you can check out my system details via the link on my profile). I shelled out $85 for this one, which isn't exactly pocket change, but it's well worth the price, and I'd even say it's worth a tad more given the superb sound quality.
