Glorious audio, a genuine orchestral extravaganza. Broad soundstage characterized by powerful sound encompassing the entire range of frequencies. Flawlessly articulated lows, lifelike mids, and expansive, airy highs with zero compression whatsoever. Such intricate orchestrations, especially with vocals, will expose the shortcomings of a system or speakers with restricted capability or prowess, hence the sound might seem compressed, a notion that’s entirely untrue with these remarkable recordings. This is a colossal creation that captivates the audience.
Great sounding vinyl overall. It's not the most well-known songs on it, though. Still, it's a very good release.
I own two copies of this album, and both have the same problem... that annoying background noise... I was hoping for a better pressing/mastering. I compared it to the CD (https://www.discogs.com/release/20874148-Hans-Zimmer-The-World-Of-Hans-Zimmer-A-Symphonic-Celebration-Extended-Version) and I adore both, but the vinyl version is superior. The violin sounds so much better, it's more expressive, more analog, you can even feel the mechanical rubbing of the strings. It's pure poetry for the ears.
The vinyl jacket feels a bit on the thin side for three 180g records. These records aren't for serious listening, more like background music for other stuff, and for that, they're alright. There's a bit more background noise, and the frequency separation isn't great. The midrange is quite relaxed. The soundstage is decent. It's a fair price.
I must say, this vinyl really took me by surprise! I didn't have high hopes going in, but man, it totally exceeded my expectations. Sure, there's a bit of background noise here and there, but it's not too bothersome. The music really shines through. The three vinyl discs look super clean, no scratches or anything. And the sound quality? Pretty freakin' amazing. It's immersive, punchy, and dynamic. Definitely one of the better Hans Zimmer vinyls to add to your collection.
