  This re-release packs a punch with its powerful sound. There's a tiny bit of crackle at the start of side A, but apart from that, the quality is top-notch. The album's sound is rich and emotionally charged. I much prefer this mix to the digital version. The colored vinyl is visually stunning, and the included bandcamp code is an excellent touch. More labels should follow suit! I'm truly satisfied with this variant overall!

  El disco es una auténtica joya, la banda estaba en plena forma mezclando estilos como en Deathconsciousness, y con este álbum no retrocedieron, sino que siguieron avanzando. Aunque no sea un clásico como su primer trabajo, es muy recomendable y está a la altura de una banda que siempre nos emociona y demuestra criterio en su música. Mención aparte para esta edición en CD: es TERRIBLE y DECEPCIONANTE. Con los precios de estos discos, uno espera algo más en cuanto al diseño exterior, no solo la música.

• Misprint and Noise in Reissue

  Is it just me or does the 2019 press of this album have track B4 labeled wrong as 'Emptiness Will Eat the With'? I picked up a 2022 reissue on black vinyl with the same B4 misprint, but I noticed the original 2014 version has B4 spelled right. As for the sound quality, this 2022 pressing has a few quirks. There's some low-level but constant surface noise, mostly noticeable at the end of tracks and during the dialogue on B1, plus a few random pops and crackles. I get that HANL is supposed to sound distorted, so maybe some of these imperfections are intentional. I don't have the original 2014 pressing to compare it to. I still really enjoy listening to it, but I bet some audio perfectionists here won't feel the same. I'm using an Audio Technica AT-LP120 with an elliptical needle, an old Pioneer amp, and some not-so-great speakers. It's an awesome record, no doubt. A solid follow-up to the incredible debut and probably my third favorite of all Dan's albums.
