Ray Charles' finest album, top-notch in both music and the CD's quality.
Got this gem a decade ago. Absolutely love it, the mastering and pressing are top-notch. At first, I was convinced it was a reissue by Analogue Productions or Classic Records, given the quality and sound. Just now figured out it's actually a Rhino-Atlantic release.

Ray Charles truly shines in this chill, soulful, blues-jazz album. He was a powerhouse with a clear vision for his music, and kudos to Atlantic for capturing one of the most incredible voices ever in this instrumental context. Be sure to check out Genius After Hours (half of these tracks are on the CD version of this album) and his fantastic records with Milt Jackson.
