Here's the rewritten review following your guidelines: "This compilation has it all in one place - the magnificent "Ramblin'" from "The Change of the Century" featuring what I believe is the greatest double bass solo in jazz history, the incredibly catchy "Una Muy Bonita" from the same album, the renowned ballads "Peace" and "Lonely Woman" from "The Shape of Jazz to Come", plus a typical and superb fast track like "Blues Connotation" (though I would've chosen "Eventually" from that style), another lovely ballad titled "Embraceable You" and, lastly, the fascinating, more experimental but gorgeous track "C & D" (named after Freud's "Civilization and its Discontents") from the 1961 album "Ornette!" with an astonishing double bass performance by Scott LaFaro. The ideal album to start with when exploring Coleman's music - and a solid alternative to purchasing "The Change of the Century", which doesn't offer much more (if you have to pick one). Highly recommended!

Here's the rewritten review following your guidelines: "Everything you need is packed onto this one record - the magnificent 'Ramblin'' from 'The Change of the Century', boasting what I believe is the greatest double bass solo in jazz history, the incredibly catchy 'Una Muy Bonita' from the same album, the two iconic ballads 'Peace' and 'Lonely Woman' from 'The Shape of Jazz to Come', plus a typical yet outstanding fast track like 'Blues Connotation' (though I would've preferred 'Eventually' from that style), another wonderful ballad named 'Embraceable You', and finally, the fascinating, more experimental but stunning track 'C & D' (inspired by Freud's 'Civilization and its Discontents') from the 1961 album 'Ornette!' featuring an astonishing double bass performance by Scott LaFaro. This is the ideal album to start with when exploring Coleman's music - and a great alternative to purchasing 'The Change of the Century', which doesn't offer much more (if you have to pick one). Highly recommended!
