The audio quality is fantastic, even though the vinyl has a minor warp. It's not perfectly flat, but it still spins just fine.
The pressing is alright. The vinyl's sound is crisp and clear. The band's performance is good. It's not as warm as I'd prefer, but I reckon that's on purpose to set a dystopian vibe.
The color on this is stunning, incredibly clear and vivid. The vinyl is really flat and the sound quality is quite good too! There are a couple of irritating clicks scattered throughout and you can definitely hear some IGD on How Not To Drown but all in all, it's a solid pressing.
Absolutely love the sound quality! The digital tracks you'll come across on streaming platforms just can't compare, they're so much more squished. I honestly didn't even realize I enjoyed How Not To Drown until I gave this version a listen.
In my collection, this record takes the crown for the clearest sound I've heard so far. It's an outstanding pressing of an outstanding album. Chvrches sparked some debate among fans with Love Is Dead - I'm a fan, myself - but it seems unanimous that Screen Violence showcases the band at their peak and most genuine. I wholeheartedly agree, as I've been hooked on this album since its release. The only way this vinyl could be improved is if the Director’s Cut, featuring three bonus tracks, gets pressed someday. But as it stands, I've found this to be the ultimate way to experience the album, standard edition or not. It's a five-star masterpiece.
