Product Description

Public Enemy's "Revolverlution," released on July 23, 2002, under eOne Music, is a powerful testament to the group's enduring influence in the world of hip hop. This album is a raw, unfiltered journey through the sounds and themes that have defined Public Enemy's career. With a runtime of 1 hour and 14 minutes, "Revolverlution" is a comprehensive collection of tracks that blend East Coast hip hop, hardcore hip hop, and the revolutionary spirit that Public Enemy is known for.

The album opens with "Gotta Give The Peeps What They Need" and closes with "What Good Is A Bomb," encapsulating a wide range of emotions and messages. Tracks like "Fight The Power" and "Welcome To The Terrordome" are reminders of Public Enemy's iconic status, while newer cuts like "Son Of A Bush" and "54321...boom" showcase the group's continued relevance and ability to address contemporary issues. The album also includes remixes and bonus tracks, such as "Gotta Give The Peeps What They Need - Paris Revolverlutionary Mix," adding depth and variety to the listening experience.

"Revolverlution" is not just a collection of songs; it's a statement. Public Enemy's signature blend of hard-hitting beats, thought-provoking lyrics, and unapologetic attitude is on full display. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to Public Enemy's music, this album offers a compelling look into the mind of one of hip hop's most influential groups.

This is a 2024 Deluxe Edition released as a 3LP set.

How do we keep reviews authentic?

Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

  • Studio Rap Preferable

    3 out of 5 stars
    HognvY25 December 2024United States🇺🇸

The audio quality is decent for a live recording, but I'm not really into live rap performances, to be honest. And this one being more of a rock/rap fusion just doesn't do it for me. There's way too much guitar for my liking. In my opinion, you're better off sticking with studio versions of rap albums. They always sound superior and more authentic.

  • Quiet Live Vinyl Gem

    4 out of 5 stars
    hipchuxij26 April 2024United States🇺🇸

This ain't the most lively pressing, but it's a 2003 live concert capture. I gotta crank the volume up pretty loud to catch it all. Still, the vinyl's super quiet and the packaging's top-notch.
