Yet another poor reissue from Sundazed. The tunes get 4 stars, but the sound quality is a disaster - 1 star. It's all distorted, mastered terribly, like some Madonna track.
It's like the band is performing right in your front room. Sooooo amazing!
Gorgeous pressing with a wide soundstage. Warm, dynamic, and overall fantastic sound. Truly impressive for a record that's 60 years old!
Kevin Gray took a CD from way back in '87 (https://www.discogs.com/release/9000997-Simon-And-Garfunkel-Parsley-Sage-Rosemary-And-Thyme) to create this $30 Gold CD, falsely labeling it as "The Original Master Tapes." There was a huge discussion about it on the Hoffman Forum, but Steve went and erased the whole thing. He's got a habit of wiping out anything he disagrees with. Try bringing up Buddy Holly tapes or Ray Charles masters that got swapped and edited with copies, and watch how fast you're blocked from posting. That forum's a dumpster fire of bad info and audiophile nonsense.
Fantastic 24/192 mastering taken straight from the original master tapes, handled by Vic Anesini. Ditch every other version out there. This is the one to get. Even at 16/44, it outshines any previous release.
