Stunning artwork that's a shame to see squished into a basic single jacket. It's disappointing that they didn't (once again) think to include a gatefold for the 2LP, but I'm just happy they released this on vinyl! Also, I've noticed the sound quality on this vinyl isn't as good as "Laundry Service" - it's not a big deal, but for this price, you'd hope for better mastering and not such a muffled sound all through the album.
In my view, this isn't the top-notch pressing. It's not terrible, but it's not exceptional either. My copy has no surface noise, but there are only three tracks per side, and yet, some distortion sneaks into the last track of each side (Hips Don't Lie, The Day and the Time, Your Embrace). The first tracks on each side, like Animal City & Dreams For Plans, sound fantastic and detailed, though. I mean, what's the point of a 2LP if it's not well mastered and pressed? Just look at how 'Donde Estan Los Ladrones' by Vinyl Me Please was done so well, for example. 3,5/5
Unfortunate pressing... there's a fair bit of pops and surface noise on both my discs, sadly. Maybe I just got a dud, but hopefully u bear that in mind if your considering buying!
Can someone tell me, is there a difference with version 11554103?
this pressing ain't great. Got two of 'em, and neither one sounds right.
