This is a fantastic Psychedelic album. I'm really into the sounds, emotions, and vibes captured in this record. Excellent job all around. Update: 1/27/24. Right now, this is MGMT’s magnum opus. The track “a good sadness” is a perfect representation of someone's psychedelic journey put to music. Then, seamlessly transitioning into “Astro-Mancy” serves as an auditory magic carpet ride, guiding the listener to soothing shores. The other songs on this LP are lyrical, composed, and witty with a cheeky sense of relevance.
Trip on this music with some psychedelics. Seriously, it's PERFECT for that. Incredible collection of sounds paired with top-notch lyrical storytelling. Overall, a stunning album totally made for that mystical journey.
This is such a high-quality pressing! I'd only listened to the digital tracks online before hearing this, so I was surprised to find a well-mixed album hiding in here. It's very dynamic and clear, exactly why one should enjoy analog.

This album is fantastic. There aren't many current music groups that can achieve what MGMT manages. I can't recall any at the moment. They masterfully blend their inspirations into something fresh. It's amusing that they'll likely be best known for their debut album, even though each subsequent album seems to outdo the last.
