The album sounds great to me. It's an absolutely fantastic record. There's no surface noise at all. I'm sorry for those who received bad copies or are hearing non-existent flaws, but this album is amazing.
Wish the mastering matched the packaging's quality! These tracks shine more on the Rotten Apples collection. Here, the low end is way too loud, ruining the midrange. Vocals get lost in the heavy, muddy bass, and the highs are weak. The sound is flat, thick, and lifeless. This is terrible. [Tech specs in my profile]

Funny enough, the Smashing Pumpkins have never been part of my music journey, even though this album was the soundtrack to so many people's younger days. After a friend's suggestion, I decided to give it a listen and I must say: it's an incredible album. My copy is stunning, packed with a ton of dynamics. It just sounds so rich, no matter how high you crank up the volume. Now I finally get it—why this album was and still is so highly praised. Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness is definitely going into my favorites. Fantastic music.
Great quality throughout—box, record, audio. In my opinion, this is the best this album has sounded since I picked up the CD the week it dropped!!!
