Mimi's 🦋 album sounds fantastic on vinyl. It's definitely not getting the recognition it deserves!
The cover feels shockingly cheap, but the sound is impressive, apparently all Amazon pressings are the go-to vinyl for Mariah’s universal albums when it comes to sound quality. This isn't exactly a career highlight for Mariah, and I can't stand the damn cover they picked after the original one got out (not that it was any better). People often joke about the inherent ridiculousness of its name, I personally think it suits the album and honestly, I'm glad it wasn’t called “the art of letting go” because that song is laughably terrible.
The audio quality is decent, however, there was some light surface hiss and crackles, and the first disc I received was pretty bent. But for a tenner, I can't complain much.
I was thrilled to get the 2025 double translucent version just as described. The gatefold cover, photos, liner notes, and lined inner sleeves are all top-notch. The 2 LPs were perfectly flat and sounded fantastic. Super quiet with no pops or clicks. Just a quick preclean before the first play. I'm in love with this Amazon Exclusive Vinyl!
What's with all the hate on this release? Mine sounds just fine. Maybe y'all should chill a bit, it's a record not a Spotify stream or anything 😆
