This record clearly comes from Furnace Records. The green hue and top-notch quality are dead giveaways. It's absolutely stunning! The color matches perfectly with my band's green vinyl drop.
This is an amazing pressing, no doubt about it! Crank up the volume and enjoy. If you spot this at a reasonable price, grab it. This album has matured beautifully, like a fine red wine (cheers Pete). Absolutely in my top 3 faves from this band.
The audio quality is fantastic! But the price is way too high........ but that's becoming the norm these days, with greedy industry morons trying to make up for lost CD sales and all the people pirating music. They punish the few who still do the right thing and buy a physical copy. Well, they'll either wake up or keep hiking up prices and ruin the format, just like they did with CDs. People will eventually stop paying these ridiculous prices, and many already have!
Securing this album was a journey that took me a good three months of persistence. I'd preordered from deepdiscount, but one of the discs arrived damaged. The sleeve was fine, so the issue must've happened at the pressing plant. They took the return, but they didn't have any replacements available. In the end, I purchased it from elusive discs, who had it on sale. It came without any problems. I was really impressed with how this album was handled. It felt like a genuine tribute, not just a money grab. The sound quality is as good as I remember, and I play this album pretty often, both digitally and on CD. The engineer did a fantastic job. The music is perfectly balanced, with PS and his bass right where they should be. The kicks are punchy, and the riffs are massive. I won't dive too deep into the music, but their cover of "Angry Inch" made me watch Hedwig, which I'd say is my favorite musical.
The audio is spot on. The bass is rich and Peters' vocals are crystal clear. Every Type O reissue has been fantastic, just like Bloody/October. The grey/green vinyl is silent inside a tri-fold gatefold. The third LP is a great bonus, with sound quality matching the rest. The insert has notes about the band and album, plus comments from Josh Silver. One of the best bands of all time. 10/10 coffins ⚰️ 💀
