This is a clean UK version with yellow writing on the front. My all-time favorite album... no matter what else I've heard. There are reasons why certain records stay at the top of our lists, and this is one of them. I can't quite put my finger on why it's so brilliant. It just echoes through my life as I grow older and look back on my younger days. Your favorite does the same for you. It's not their best work, but it's a rough, indelible mark on my life. Katy is my heartbreak... Doctor Wu is my chant & time is the only companion I've got. Just.....incredible.....tracks.....!!! N
Purchased from Geffen's site back in December 2025. It's a tad bent but doesn't mess with the sound. The sound quality and pressing are top-notch, just a couple of tiny pops during the quiet bits, but it's no big deal. This is a fantastic repressing of an amazing album, definitely worth picking up.
I found this one to be a slow burn, but it's definitely become one of my top Dan albums. The sound quality on this pressing is really nice. Nothing to complain about here.
Only masterpieces deserve five stars, yeah? Well, this is a ***** MASTERPIECE! Has there ever been a POP record with superior tracks? With more talented musicians? With more impressive music? I highly doubt it. All DANs are fantastic, truly. But KATY LIED has always been the highlight. At least, in my opinion ;-)
I've got a M version of this release, same matrix numbers but there are quite a few differences with the cover and label. Has anyone else noticed this? Barcode 0 76732-1594-1
