Mac Miller responds to the haters after some not-so-great feedback on his mixtape days before "Blue Slide Park", and I'm all here for it. This point in his journey is fire, he's dropping some of the cheesiness and getting all experimental, kinda like in "The Scoop On Heaven". The idea behind "Willie Dynamite" is genius, maybe even where Lovenstein was born. And let's not forget, Talib Kweli and Bun B hopping on the latter part of the album really save it from being just another Mac feel-good project. Despite the flack he got for his past work, the pressure was on for his studio debut, pushing him to grow up when Mac was one of those dudes who swore he'd stay young forever. You don't drop bars about DUIs and blowing cash if you're trying to mature. "I Love Life ..." are like the last whimpers of Mac's inner kid before he dove into heavier, more complex topics for his major label run. -DJ C.V.R.20th/Aug.2K25

I can't stand the PVC. Really wish they'd put out a standard one with a regular jacket/sleeve, as it ruins the entire product.

The sound quality of this pressing is fantastic. I was really pleased with the inner sleeve too, until I came across a review mentioning some concerns about it. I even used the mailer to cut out a square piece to reinforce the PVC for better record storage.
