I'm kinda on the fence about this album. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I do, so I grabbed the vinyl. I did a deep dive comparing this pressing to the MQA version on Tidal. The digital one's got more clarity and expressiveness (you might even say it's more impressive at first spin). But it's a bit too close to the edge. Crank up the volume, and her voice starts to wear you out. The vinyl master sounds a tad duller initially. But it's more natural and less tiring on the ears. I reckon I'll stick with the vinyl. Though let's be real, it ain't no audiophile quality, that's for damn sure.
This vinyl is absolutely fantastic, particularly with the signed insert included. Mine had a tiny crease when it arrived, but a bit of flattening with an outer sleeve sorted it right out. The sound quality is superb all the way through, and I was thrilled with the secret track added to what was already an incredible album. xoxo
