In my version of GKMC, there's a lot of surface noise on the song 'Real,' and it's pretty bad all through side D.
The bass on this copy is just fantastic. Luckily, my copy wasn't bent. Barely any hiss, it's a beautiful record.
From B4 (Maad City) on, the album really shines, showcasing that distinct Kendrick Lamar sound you hear all through TPAB and Damn. The whole thing's fantastic, though. He's truly the best artist of his time.
The pressing was awful! The stickers weren't lined up right and the record kept looping, plus the hole in the middle wasn't big enough.
Kendrick Lamar's finest album yet. He's amazing at storytelling and crafting incredible tracks. I'd love if the songs were arranged in order, to make the experience even better, but it's just overall phenomenal. It's spot on in depicting the past and pulling you into this era and place.
