This pressing is quite noisy, but at least mine doesn't skip. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better quality version in the future.
The initial vinyl has quite a bit of surface hiss and a misaligned label on Side A (the needle hits the label towards the end). The second disc plays smoother. Both records show some warping, but it DNAP. Golf Wang did a solid job putting this out as a gatefold. Honestly, nothing bugs me more than a 2xLP crammed into a single, regular sleeve. Zero updates from the label regarding this drop though. I'm iffy about ordering from them again. I'm all about this super chill hip hop, but you're better off grabbing the standard black version. Your bank account and ears will appreciate it.
Do customers get any sort of notice when their orders are sent, or do these items just randomly appear at their houses?
This is a great addition to my collection, the vinyl press is top-notch, cut just right, and the holes are punched flawlessly. Each side stands out on its own, in my opinion, and the poster is a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to expand their collection.
My record plays just fine and doesn't stutter...I often think if folks here just need nicer turntables.
