Certain vendors list this edition with a disclaimer 'ORIGINALLY LACKED OBI' which is inaccurate. I possess this very release, fully equipped with a sticker-OBI. Additionally, the 'Dis' album by Johann Johannssen, issued by P-Vive, also came with a sticker-OBI.
This album is one of those that transcends any single genre, offering a mix of stark, haunting, and beautiful sounds, sometimes soft and other times vibrant. It can evoke deep reflection as the composer guides you through a diverse musical experience. Johann Johannsson was an incredibly gifted composer and musician worth discovering. Strongly recommended!
Discovered this treasure by chance. I think it was October 2003, Hazard was the opening act at a festival in Antwerp with three groups. After his brief but amazing atonal performance, I went downstairs to check out the record sales. One of the guys there had some Touch label stuff to sell. I bought three Biosphere albums and one by Hazard. The next morning, I realized one of the Biosphere albums was this one. But as soon as I heard the first note, I was deeply moved. It's an incredible, delicate beauty. It's quite classical with a gentle electronic touch that occasionally becomes strong and atonal. I'm not the same person after hearing this album. *Highly* recommended and a blessing for your ears, soul, and high-tech equipment.
