The double vinyl set is absolutely stunning. It features the same artwork as the 'I Surrender' CD Single, which is truly gorgeous, with beautiful inner sleeves... The cloud white double vinyl is awsome as well!
This pressing sounds great, I haven't checked out the RSD white vinyl one but I've heard it had some issues. From what I've listened to, those problems don't seem to be on the black version, thank goodness.
The cover is quite simple, it can just be folded, and there are fewer pages than the original.
I've got a tiny issue with my vinyl copy, I reckon it's a pressing thing, the first track on the C side "Thalhiem" kicks off missing the initial notes, it jumps right into the song. The vinyl's sound is top-notch and it's awesome to listen to this album on vinyl. The bonus tracks don't really boost the album, I'd rather have a single disc version with the songs from the CD release. The extra tracks just don't match the quality of the original release's tracks. Unfortunately, the cool old cover from the CD release was swapped out for another one.
This version, packed with bonus tracks, feels like a more fitting tribute to that era. I've always had a soft spot for "Scent of Magnolia," so I was thrilled to find it here on vinyl. Some songs that didn't resonate with me back in '99 have grown on me now. Perhaps it's just the magic of vinyl. And, this pressing sounds sharp and clear. Excellent quality!
