I've now got three copies of this amazing album. I can't praise this DS masterpiece enough. It's not that his other works aren't fantastic, because they truly are, but this one is definitely my top pick for a deserted island. This Japanese remaster, expertly handled by the brilliant Tony Cousins at Metropolis Mastering, really highlights the sonic brilliance of this classic record, perfectly complementing Steve Nye's superb mix.

Amazing issue. Perfect. Both albums sound fantastic, it's clear a lot of effort went into this, it's even better than I had hoped for.
This particular colored version boasts an amazing sound. There's ample room between each instrument, and it's such a classic recording - ideal for late Autumn nights with the volume cranked up. Be sure to snag this edition while you still can.
This album is absolutely incredible, every single track. I used to be employed at a Tower Records store in LA. Whenever we had to do inventory (meaning we had to count every single album in the store), we would play this and everyone would work happily. If we played anything else, no matter the genre, people would complain it was annoying and making it hard to count and focus. And the staff would start arguing about what genre to play. We'd switch back to this and everyone would calm down and get back to work. This music is engaging, but also a bit soothing. It sounds like it wouldn't work - but it really does. It's literally the perfect music to work to. Don't let that description mislead you. The lyrics are beautiful and wonderfully sung. Side 2 is simply amazing. My point is you can listen to this on repeat for hours and never get tired of it. I don't find myself singing along. It's more like, ooh - that chorus and lyric is great and comforting.
