Mr. Isaac Hayes has truly outdone himself with this fantastic album...The production is top-notch, and the 70’s groove is solid, with just a touch of that 60’s vibe peeking through (though, I must admit, the occasional background skinny fuzz guitar is a bit annoying, but thankfully it's barely noticeable). My only real complaint (and it's a big one) is that the title track should have been a full 11-minute epic - that would have been an absolute blast and much more in line with Ike’s classic earlier works. Apart from that, it's a well-worth purchase that will definitely be spinning on my record player regularly - I have no doubt about it.
