  Unfortunately, this pressing isn't great: there's persistent noise in the right channel, loud pops, and inner groove distortion on both sides. I just hope this, 'Honeymoon', and 'NFR' get a proper pressing someday.

  I suppose I got a good one… European version (MPO from France), and even though they can be a bit inconsistent, mine is dead flat and silent and sounds amazing. Truly feel bad for everyone having issues. I'd be pretty upset too… :-(

  The artwork on the cover is stunning but sadly that's where the good stuff ends. This record is plagued with static, surface noise, pops, and crackles. This is my third copy of Chemtrails and by far the poorest quality. Such a disappointment.

• Nostalgic Hiss Perfectly Complements

  I'm absolutely in love with the cover and the insert card, and the album sounds fantastic on tape as well. There's a slight, noticeable hiss, but I feel like it's perfect for this album. I don't believe it was meant to sound like it came from a superstar as big as Lana. The nostalgic hiss of cassettes adds a touch of authenticity to the listening experience, and I'm all for it! That being said, I'm not excusing lower quality sound on physical formats, it could definitely be better, but it doesn't need to be in this case. In my opinion, it complements the album perfectly! It's why I buy cassettes in the first place, so I don't mind it at all!

• Poor Pressing Experience

  Another copy I've got sounds just as poor as everyone else's Chemtrails pressings. I've accumulated around 10 copies of this album, and each one has cracks and surface noise. It's unbelievable. It totally messed up my experience with the album when it first came out. Thank goodness I've moved past it. I guess I'm just not meant to own a copy that sounds good, and now I'm alright with that.
