Absolutely fantastic album! Just like others have mentioned, it's gotta be one of the quietest records I own. Apart from that, it sounds alright, and I'm actually quite fond of the muted gold hue!
Absolutely fantastic album! Just like others have mentioned, it's gotta be one of the quietest ones I own. Apart from that, it sounds alright, and I'm actually really into the dull gold color!
Unbelievably hush-hush. I mean... maybe twice as silent as your run-of-the-mill 33 RPM record, and even more so than those fancy audiophile ones. This and 'Her Majesty' share the same hiccup, so there you go. You'll crank it up to full blast, but it still won't quite hit that immersive stereo sound you're after, unless, I guess, you've got a super powerful preamp and speaker setup? Still... pretty underwhelming - poor job on the mastering.
I wouldn't suggest this edition. It's visually appealing but the mastering is poor. The volume is quite low and the sound is very flat. When you compare it to, for instance, the recent Picaresque re-releases, there's no comparison.
Amazing album overall! Just like others have mentioned, it's definitely one of the softest albums I own. The sound quality is pretty decent though, and I'm really liking the matte gold color!
