Big shock for me, this one. I initially got into JJ due to 'Steppin Out', but after checking out some of his other albums, I've come to truly appreciate his music. It's a real pleasure to listen to, with such a varied style. Take 'Blaze of Glory', for instance - he really channels that late 80's house music vibe in 'Discipline'.
Fantastic album with an excellent pressing. Anyone who's a fan of Jackson will absolutely adore this one.
This album is fantastic, but the vinyl version has these odd fades between tracks, which is strange since the CD has them flowing seamlessly into one another.
Holding my copy up to a strong light, it's a see-through dark copper shade. Absolutely fantastic album recording and top-notch musicianship! 👍🏻👍🏻
In my opinion, this is Joe's best album, or at least one of them, and he truly outdid himself...It's a concept album centered around the idea of turning 40 and the journey of life, which is quite fitting as I saw him perform the entire album from start to finish (with an instrumental interlude in the middle and some hits for an encore) when I was just 19...and now I'm 52. I've always wished to meet Joe just to thank him for all the amazing music and share the story of how it was because of Iron Maiden that I discovered him....
