Awesome package and the orange vinyl really fits the vibe of the artwork. This one's a tad less dynamic compared to the EU original I own, which just seems to have a more vibrant sound, but in no way is this dull. It sounds incredible and I'm thrilled to have it next to the original.
Got my 2 LP version of this album from Amazon just today. If you enjoyed the recent Roadrunner vinyl re-releases of “Arise,” “Chaos A.D.,” and “Roots,” you'll be pleased with this one too. So thrilled to finally have it on vinyl. It sounds AMAZING on my turntable. Even at low volume, the audio quality is fantastic! It's nice and crisp with a tight sound and excellent bass. Couldn't be happier with this pressing.
The remaster boasts a contemporary production... It's not as raw as the original with its sharp guitars... But the second bonus record is where you'll find the original sound (many tracks are instrumental), so you get the best of both worlds
I own the initial CD version, the '97 remaster, and now this one. I believe the '97 release is more squashed, but it's pretty much the same as the original. This version appears to be a tad brighter than both and louder than the original. I'm not sure if it's over-compressed, though, as many recent remasters aren't. The bonus tracks are great to have, and the booklet with details about the recording period is an enjoyable read.
