Definitely some surface noise, but apart from that, this is a fantastic sounding record! The bass is really punchy and the highs are crystal clear. Plus, the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! It's easily one of the coolest looking records in my collection.
Audio quality is fantastic! The low end packs a punch, yet it doesn't drown out the rest. The singing and string instruments truly stand out. I can make out some details in the quieter parts, though that might just be my system. The record itself is spotless and visually striking. Thrilled to finally own this iconic album.
I've got a version of this with "VINYL MADE IN MEXICO" printed in a dot matrix style on the back plastic covering, so bear that edition in mind.
I gotta say, this pressing really let me down. The Canadian splatter version looks terrible and it's full of pops and constant surface noise. I wouldn't recommend this one at all, you should really look into the 10th anniversary edition instead.
This is hands down his best album. Just got my copy and it's aged like fine wine. Would've been flawless as a single disc.
