Bare Trees" stands out as one of my all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac records. Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, and Christine McVie truly shine, serving up an incredible tracklist from start to finish. The legendary rhythm section holds it all together, giving these soft rock gems with a bit of edge the perfect platform to shine. Not a single weak track in the mix. I'm absolutely in love with this 1972 version of the band.
Plenty of Fleetwood Mac enthusiasts haven't stumbled upon this gem before Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joined the band. It's definitely worth your time to check it out. Hitting shelves in '72, it was met with great acclaim and laid the groundwork for the powerful vocals and intricate keyboard-guitar interplay that followed. Christie McVie's voice is absolutely phenomenal, and the instrumental track "Sunny Side Of Heaven," track 4 on side 1, is just perfect.
CB: Perhaps Chris Bellman? : https://www.discogs.com/lists/Mastering-Engineers/273599 This version is really great! The album is worthy of it!
Bare Trees" stands out as one of my all-time favorite Fleetwood Mac records. Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, and Christine McVie truly shine, serving up a fantastic tracklist from start to finish. The band's rhythm section, named after themselves, is incredibly tight, laying down the perfect groove for these soft rock gems with a bit of edge. There's not a single weak song in the bunch. I'm absolutely in love with this 1972 version of the band.
Prior to Lindsey and Stevie joining, Fleetwood Mac was primarily a blues band, and this era served as a transition until they honed their pop skills. Regarding the audio quality, this reissued vinyl was mastered quite loud, resulting in an unfortunate overall haze that's somewhat cloudy and indistinct.
