In this album, Aretha Franklin is at her peak during the '80s. It's a really strong record and sounds fantastic.
This might just be the top reissue of this album. The artwork on this awesome "Warhol" cover is fantastic, and the "Warhol" sketch on the inner sleeve is just as impressive. Even as a "numbered" edition, it's still a steal. The "Green Vinyl" version, at least for me, makes it even more of a must-have. And let's not forget the guest appearances by Kieth Richards and Ron Wood!
While this release is a bit of a mixed bag and feels a tad out of order in places, it's a fantastic pressing with great mastering. The artwork is top-notch and comes with the original inner liner notes. If you're only after “I Knew You Were Waiting For Me”, you're still getting a winner.
Amazing album featuring incredible tunes, Aretha's stunning vocals, and a brilliant arrangement! This is what music was all about in the 80s!
