  • Polished Joyful Harmonies

    5 out of 5 stars
    Lmexm14 July 2025United States🇺🇸

Unlike the 1975 UK version, this one's sound is a tad more polished and tidy - quite a distinct vibe! It's missing some of that richness, boldness, and deep bass punch. But oh, what an album! It's bursting with bright, airy harmonies - pure joy!

  • ABBA DMM Series: Quality Sound

    4 out of 5 stars
    PdiqCivEO14 July 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

Within the 2001 DMM series, this particular pressing stands out for its excellent sound quality, although it's a tad more reserved than the outstanding Japan Discomate version - https://www.discogs.com/release/12490316-ABBA-ABBA. The cover art, while not as vivid as shown on Discogs, boasts the highest resolution among all releases. The vinyl does have some slight surface noise, with no clear clue about where it was pressed. Considering the increasing price of this edition, it's mainly for devoted ABBA fans.

  • Super Trouper Sound Quality Shines

    5 out of 5 stars
    SlehMuhOU23 June 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

I must say, I'm genuinely impressed with how this edition turned out—it's easily my second favorite, right after the Abbey Road version of Super Trouper. Miles has done an outstanding job of enhancing the mids and highs, while the bass has a depth and clarity that's truly impressive; you can really hear it breathe, particularly on “Mamma Mia.” The 45 rpm format also adds an extra layer of punch and detail to the soundstage. Given that much of the album was recorded in a repurposed laundry room in Sweden, the results are nothing short of remarkable. In comparison, Arrival, which was recorded in a professional studio at Metronome, just doesn't hold up as well. My only complaint—once again—is the artwork. It looks faded and out of focus. Someone needs to get in touch with Fredrik Hurtig, who did the fantastic, high-resolution sleeve redesigns for the 2000 ABBA reissues; it shouldn't be this challenging. ⛔️ A word of caution about the pressing quality - my copy has a bubble on the lead-in of Side D track 1. I'm not sure if this is an isolated issue or a problem with the pressing plates. Make sure to inspect your copy carefully.

Absolutely captivating music! This is the finest I've encountered on this album! Stunning!
