The packaging is absolutely great, I was pleasantly surprised to find it included a booklet tucked inside the sleeve. The record itself sounds good, there's a bit of surface noise here and there but it's nothing to be concerned about.
The disc I got was all messed up, making the beginning of "Younger Now" skip so bad it was impossible to listen to. Really ruined the whole vibe for me. Might've just been a fluke, but if you're buying this, make sure to check it out before you can't return it anymore.
The audio quality is impressive, but Mileys vocals on Track 5 from Side A and tracks 5 & 6 on side b are quite distorted and muffled, likely due to inner groove distortion. This definitely should've been a 2LP! That said, I'm absolutely in love with the packaging! The booklet is fantastic.
I'm all about MC, this album and its packaging are pretty cool but the audio is a hard pass for me. The two takes on Bangerz are like night and day!
I gotta say, the mastering on this album was a real mess. I was pretty shocked to see Dave Kutch's name attached to it, considering he's usually responsible for some great sounding records. But this time, it just didn't work out. Everything seemed to be mixed at the same volume, which wasn't great. The first two tracks, which happen to be some of my faves, sounded particularly bad. That being said, the more laid-back songs did come out alright. I do love the packaging though, the gatefold is sweet, and I'm always happy when records come with a full booklet.
